The Demon 98 is a retro two-barrel high performance
carburetor that fits the thirties-style, three-bolt
intake pattern and should be popular for multiple
carb systems on Ford flatheads and Y-blocks, early
Chrysler Hemis and Buick Nailheads. |
|
|
|
|
A replacement for the
Stromberg 97 and the Holley 94, the 98 is offered in
two configurations: as a primary carburetor with
choke mountings (either electrical or mechanical)
and idle-speed and mixture adjustments; or as
a secondary carburetor with no choke-mounting
capability or idle-mixture adjustment. Rated around
205 CFM, the 98 accepts 2-5/8" period-style air
cleaners or air horns. Fuel bowls operate at 6-7 PSI
and are fitted with glass sight windows for
measuring float drop.
